Service with a Smile

Xandi made KSL.com... He's famous, and oh so handsome!

Alex Schmalz of Fidelity Investments carries a new bass to a student from Lakeridge Junior High School in Orem, Utah. A group from Fidelity Investments surprised the music students with a donation of new string instruments valued at more than $20,000. Wednesday, March 16, 2011.

Our family also got to be involved in this little project thanks to Xandi's work. We often get to do service when it comes to our church, but when we get to participate on a community level and see the impact you can have, it is very rewarding. We spent the Saturday prior to this day doing service for Lakeridge Junior High School. We painted music stands, We helped paint and clean up the orchestra room, and Sophie even helped the music teacher organize all her supplies. Right up Soph's alley and expertise. Hard work, but a fun day, and knowing you are helping kids appreciate beautiful things, it's worth every sore muscle.
