Today was a sad day for Gentry. Delanie has moved on without him and he is not sure how to function without her. No shiny Matchbox car that I offered him could cheer him up. He finally ended up crying himself to sleep, after about an hour of hearing his sad cry, with little phrases like, "I come with Lanie?" and "I suppose to go!", it broke my heart.Lanie is headed to the big world of preschool. Today was her first official day, but last Thursday I took these pictures of her before she headed over to meet her teacher for the first time at the Creative Kids Preschool. She even had to wear her back pack. She also asked me to make her a lunch. I really think she is ready to be gone the entire day and have no thought of her mommy left at home!

Poor Gentry, how sad!
We need to have Gentry and Mason play together. We had the same kind of morning/afternoon. Mason insisted all morning that he was going to preschool TOO, but every time McKinley told him he was too little he sobbed his little heart out. It was sooo sad! We are doing the neighborhood preschool, so even though we started last week, we taught first, so it was at our house and Mason got to stay and he just did what all of the big kids did. This was his first separation, and oh so sad! I feel for you Gentry, Mom is just not as fun as a big sister, no matter how hard we try!
So sad, what a sweet boy! I hope that they will always be as close as that!
Lanie looks so excited for school. I think she probably felt a little left behind by the other kids when they started school. It's never fun to be left behind - poor Gentry.
I was talking to Lanie about this yesterday. She was telling me how sad Gentry was going to be. She was definitely right, poor boy.
Gentry's quotes seriously made my heart break a little. Poor little guy.
But DELANIE GIRL! You are a vision in pink. Good luck in preschool. Learn lots and find a boyfriend.
thanks for your comment, Stacy.
That is funny about Laney, what a go getter! I hope things go better for Gentry, poor guy!
She looks so dang cute! I can not believe how grown-up she is getting. Isn't it fun when they are so excited for school? Keep the fire burning!
Oh my sweet boy, that made me cry for him! LOVE you sooooo much Gentry!!
Love Kimmie!
Oh! I really admire the friendships that your children have with one another! They are always looking out for the one younger than them (or the same size). I am always telling my kids to watch the Schmaltz kids when they are together and tell me what you notice different about their family...
Stacy-
a few of us are going to Park City overnight on Fri the 12th.
Please see if you can come. It would make my day if you could be there. Email me for more info. jseagar@msn.com
