We Have Babies

We have been watching a little Barn Swallow family since the first part of spring that have claimed our front porch as their home. They have been so busy building the nest for their impending family and it has been so much fun to watch them. They have gotten so familiar with us that when we go out there to sit on the front porch they fly in and out and perch on our light and pay no attention to us at all. The little daddy even sleeps on our front porch light at night so he can keep an eye on his little lady above him. She has been sitting on the nest for about three weeks now and a couple of days ago we saw three little heads poking up out of the nest. They are so cute sitting there with there little beaks open almost all the time waiting for mommy and daddy to bring them food. Such dedicated little parents these two are, it's been so amazing to watch and so amazing how comfortable these two are having us watch them that it almost makes up for all the poop that they are leaving me to clean up.
