I just paid the GE repairman $70 to have him tell me that we have EXTREMELY hard water and that is why my dishwasher is no longer working. Hmmm, maybe that is why I don't like water! Good thing I have child slaves to take over the dish washing duties in my home. And go ahead and add the dishwasher to the list of things that are no longer working right and need to be replaced. How much do water softeners cost? Too much I am sure.

I hate it when unexpected repairs come up. And when it's something like your dishwasher breaks because the water you're supposed to be drinking so much of is too gross??!
Come on!
Not fair at all!
Hey sorry I have been out of the blogging world for a few weeks but can I say you just might be the cutest thing ever. I love reading your blogs. By the way, when we moved in to our first house this was Jeff's requirement of the first thing we bought. I think it was around $1200, and the water purification system on the sink was free. We asked a guy the difference in water systems because the price rage is huge, but he said you get the same result no matter the size or the price of the system. I think the one in this house they said was around $800. It's sounds like a lot for water you can't stand to drink, but it makes cleaning so much faster because you don't get the soap scum and hard water spots, your laundry comes out whiter, and your kids and your skin is softer. I really wasn't big into getting it but I truly use less cleaning products, hardly ever use lotion and they say your water using appliances (dishwasher, fridge, and washing machine) last years longer. Ok so that may have been way more than you wanted to know and sorry for the long comment, but I believe in them. Total bummer that you have to pay to repair man, buy a water softener and a dishwasher all in one swipe. I hate days like that. Hope tomorrow you win the lottery.
