I have the perfect life!
Okay, it would be a little better if I was still the darling girl that my husband married all those years ago, and before five pregnancies ravaged my abs, but you know what they say...If wishes were fishes...! Most of the time I pretty much feel like my life is more than I deserve, and if it weren't for the fact that I am chubby my life would be absolutely perfect, and we can't have that! My life has been so richly blessed in so many ways. For one I have the gospel. Two, marrying my best friend in the whole wide world has made me so happy and I can't imagine anyone with a better marriage than us...most days! Third, being blessed with the five amazing, loving, healthy, helpful and sometimes not so helpful, funny children that I have! These three things (and people) have made me into the best ME that I can be. I am honored to be a wife and mother and nothing brings me greater joy. It is why I am here and really what I do best...
Gavin, thank you for the 10 hugs and I love you's that I receive from you daily. Thank you for being silly with me, and for being my go to guy when I need help with something. I am not sure what I will do when you aren't around.
Sophie, thank you for including me in your life! Thank you for being a sweet teenager. Thank you for always being helpful around here, it means so much to me. You are not only my daughter, you are one of my dearest friends.
Grayson, you are the bomb! There are so many reasons you make me happy. Thank you for being such a great example to me. Just by being you, you make me want to be a better person.
Delanie Ann Schmalz! I love you in spite of the fact that I haven't gotten a full nights sleep thanks to YOU since Sophie moved out of your bedroom. Do you know why I still love you? Because every day you make me laugh, and you are sweet, and you call me mother and say things like "just a moment", and "I will be right with you". So, so grateful that you are my daughter!
My caboose Gentry, thanks for still wanting to snuggle with me in the mornings after the kids leave for school. What will I do when you are in first grade next year? You are the happiest surprise I have ever gotten and I thank my Father in Heaven every day that he knew better than me that we needed you. I am even grateful that you can be a little hard headed and stubborn at times because I know you came with your personality for a reason. You are a boy who knows what he wants and needs, and I am sure it will always be good things!
I LOVE YOU ALL more than words can say, and I am so happy that we can be together FOREVER!
