Make a big pot of homemade chili.
Have grandma Schmalz make her famous homemade doughnuts.
Next, throw in some other homemade treats, like pumpkin cheesecake, cute little goodies crafted into pumpkin shapes, and more candy than anyone could ever need.
Have some cute kids in costume...

Sophie as a cute 50's girl

Gentry as Spiderman

Delanie as Dorthy

and Grayson as an evil vampire
Next add some adults acting like kids...

And a bunch of super excited Schmalz party animals, headed out the door to all trick-or-treat together...

And you have a
PARTY!

Sophie and Emily must be long lost sisters! They all look so cute!
I am jealous of the big family get togethers on Halloween night. We have to go to Zack's work for trick or treating, which is fun, but it makes dinner impossible. Then we feel like we have to rush through trick or treating to be able to go to both grandparents houses to show off the kids. It's exhausting!
Your kids look SOOOOO cute! If they came to may door I would've given them ALL my candy.
and YOU look AWESOME!
I'm sad I couldn't be there last night!! I love to see everyone in their costumes. The kids looked so cute!! Thanks for posting the pics :]
I love your costume. It's totally you. Looks like you guys had a successful Halloween!
You & Kim are awesome! I was feeling like my wild side was coming through with my TOTALLY black nails but Whoa! you've really got a wild side---love it!!
Sounds so fun! I think Sophie makes a perfect little 50's girl!
Thank you for letting me volunteer your house for a Schmalz invasion. We definitely have to do it again next year.
Holy adorable! You are so creative. I love Halloween too!
OMG!!! That is the cutest families ever! I really didn't recognize you! You look like a reak biker chick.
Man...I thought I was tough! You look kinda scarey!!! I'd hate to meet up with you in a dark alley at 2:30 AM or in a well lit depot, surrounded by ribbits and other chatter, and the fresh smell of newsprint in the air. Kittisack saying A@%hole in Chinese, Dave singing "Play that Funky Music White Boy..." and a robot having a hair malfunction in the background.
Wait....what was I talking about?
You guys are too fun! Costumes are great!!
Oh, I love the costumes! You and Kim are the best! I have always loved seeing little Dorothys too. We definitely have quite a load of candy this year- plenty of wrappers dotting the floor :)
