Our week of spring break fun is almost done but we have taken full advantage of our time together. We took the kids to The Mayan Restaurant and actually had a great time. We haven't been thrilled with the place in past visits but some friends of ours told us that it was all new and improved so we thought we would give it another try. The food was a lot better and it is more, lets say, theatrical, and less cartoonish than before. Lanie and Gentry were completely captivated by the natives and we had the best front row seats so we were in on all the action.
The next stop on our day of fun was the dollar movies. Love em! We went and saw Spiderwick, it's a cute little flick. Gentry slept through most of it which was great because Lanie thought it was a little scary, she still really liked it. Grayson and Sophie gave it a very high thumbs up. Gavin, not sure. He is definitely getting to be a teenager. Even if he really liked it, he has to be careful not to show too much excitement for it.
Today's agenda is going to be planting my new Almond Tree. I am so excited. We are also going to try out the new lawn mower we purchased the other night. Self propelled. We have hit it big baby. I am so happy. I had to do a lot of the lawn mowing last summer with my hubby being sick and all. Perfectly timed sickness might I add! No seriously, I am so happy that he has been feeling better lately and I know that he will continue to improve. Yeah. Anyway, with the huge back yard and an old push mower I really do feel like we have hit it big with a self propelled, and we have a twelve year old. Score!

It's nice that you have spring break on the later end, then everywhere is less crowded.
Thanks for the tip on the Mayan too. Maybe I'll try it again.
Are you renting the 12 year old out??;)
I can't believe Gav is 12.
And I didn't know Alex was sick last year?
And Almond Trees are gorgeous!!!!
You have such a cute family! I'm so glad to get to know you even better! Love ya!!
