I have just now decided that Mothers Day is one of my favorite holidays! For one, I was greeted with these beauties first thing Mothers Day morning. Breakfast in bed complete with a DC! Grayson braved spitting bacon grease to make his momma some bacon, and Xandi mastered the art of french toast. All for ME! My breakfast was accompanied by cards that made me laugh so hard I cried, and cards that reminded me of the sweet calling I have as a mother, and what a great but rewarding responsibility I have to raise these beautiful kids. I received sweet gifts from my children that were store bought with their hard earned money, and homemade treasures that I will forever cherish. I feel spoiled and loved, and so very grateful.
I haven't always felt such happy thoughts about Mothers Day. It really isn't a day designed to make me feel guilty about all the things I don't do right. Come to find out, it's just a day to feel appreciated for all the things I do do right.
I first became a mother 5,627 days ago to my sweet little monkey Gavin. That day was one of my happiest days, along with the days I became a mom again five times over to Sophie, Grayson, Delanie, and Gentry! Those days and the day I married the dad, and my best friend and eternal companion, will forever be my BEST days. I never knew what would happen to my heart on those amazing days in my life. Being a wife and a mother is what I was meant to do. I can't express enough the gratitude I feel toward my Father in Heaven for allowing me to walk beside these amazing children and help raise them and guide them through this life. THAT is the ultimate Mother's Day gift!

Happy Mothers Day
The greatest compliment any women could receive is to be considered a good mother.
I hope these women know how grateful I am for the influence they have had on me. My children have a better mother because of you, and my husband is the kind of man he is because of the great example in his mother. I love you all dearly and am so grateful to come from a long line of good mothers.
