Today marked a wonderful spiritual moment for Delanie Ann Schmalz, and for me, as she was baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

What an awesome day!

Her big brother Gavin baptized her

and her big ol' day confirmed her.

Also... Sophie did your hair so cute. Grandpa Schmalz gave a sweet talk on the importance of baptism. Aunt Kim talked about recognizing the Holy Ghost. Grayson and Sophie said the opening and closing prayers. You had lots of sweet family and friends there to support you on your special day and that meant a lot to your dad and I. We came home and had some yummy food in honor of you, and I didn't even kick your butt when you spilled chocolate down the front of your pretty white dress :)...I am such a good mom sometimes!

I am so proud of you Lanie Bug for choosing to make the decision to be baptized and to become a member of the church, and I know that your Heavenly Father is so happy for the decisions you have made in your life. You are an amazing little girl and you know what you need to do to stay close to your Father in Heaven and to live a worthy life and I pray you will continue to make those choices that will keep you on the path to the temple.
