The FIRST DAY

The High Schoolers

Gavin is starting his junior year today and is already busy with his extra curricular activities. On Friday he filmed his first football game with Thunder Vision, and will also be participating in Acapella this year.

Sophie is the cutest thing in the whole world! This tiny thing is starting her freshman year at Westlake High School. She was a bit nervous this morning but I know she will do great. She is looking forward to trying out for the school musical and is also excited to be involved in the choir.

The Junior Higher

Mr. student body president! Gray is so excited to be involved in 8th grade . Not only does he get to be ooober involved in planning and attending activities, but he is so excited to be learning again. He was asked to be involved in a special science program at the school this year where he will get to help other kids learn science and he will be a peer leader and actually help tutor kids that are struggling. Right up his alley.

The Elementaryites

Delanie is starting 3rd grade today at Harvest Elementary and is beginning her 2nd year in the Spanish immersion program. More than anything, I think this girl is looking forward to the social aspects of school. She is my social butterfly and I love her.

 and my BABY is starting first grade! The house seems so quiet today without my little buddy home to keep me company. Gentry is starting the Spanish immersion program as well at Harvest and is so excited about his new Spanish name...Gustavo.

Soooo, here is the deal. I am totally aware that I can be an ooober nerd sometimes and today was no exception. As I was watching my last little chicks leave the nest today I totally got teary eyes. My friend on facebook also posted some similar feelings and a link to Rascal Flatts singing this song on youtube. Here are the lyrics... They touched my heart.

Gavin, Sophie, Grayson, Delanie, and Gentry...I am in love with you! Thanks for letting me be your mom and for loving me even though I screw up and make mistakes. I am so happy that I am your momma, and here is MY WISH FOR YOU
