“My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you’re out there getting where you’re getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.” -Rascal Flatts
I knew this day was going to be tough. I just wasn't mentally ready to accept that my last little one was off to face the real world of school, and growing up, but it came anyway. For five and a half years now he has been my best little buddy. My constant companion. My sidekick. I cant help but feel just a little sad that this chapter of my life is now over. My little kids are growing up. I am so excited for him, for all of them, but at the same time I have decided that letting go has got to be one of life's most difficult challenges. It is so hard to send your little ones out into the world whether they are five or fifteen years old, it never get easy.
Gentry is one awesome kid! He has grown into such an independent little guy, and he has no problem at all leaving me. He feels so big, and he ready to take on the world. I would be lying if I said this wasn't hard. I'd be lying if I said that it didn't make my heart ache when his cute little teacher had all the little Kindergarteners turn around and wave goodbye to their moms and dads. The world is ready for Gentry Hewson Schmalz!. Good luck, little buddy. And just like the song says "and while you’re out there getting where you’re getting to, I hope you know somebody loves you".

What a little blondie. So handsome!! Your mother musings make me tear up a bit - Rush is still tiny, but I know he'll be in school before I know it! Miss you...
