I Love To See The Temple

I had an awesome experience last night with the 10th ward young women and their leaders. We went on a "walk out of this world" and walked to the Timpanogos Temple clear from Harvest Hills! And verily I say unto thee that thou shalt lay aside the things of this world, and seek after the things of a better. D&C 25:10  As we were leaving and seeing the temple so far off in the distance sure made it seem like it was a daunting task. It was hard work. Our feet hurt and it got to the point that our legs felt like concrete. Smelling the rolls and steak at the Texas Roadhouse made us want to veer off course, but turning the corner and having the beautiful temple in our sights was so sweet and rewarding. It took us 4 hours to complete our journey. At the end we walked silently for the last ten minutes up to the temple. The Spirit was so strong. It was amazing seeing their sweet leaders drawing the similarity of getting to the temple physically as we walked, to getting to the temple spiritually and seeing a light go on in these girls. Life is hard, and knowing that I have the blessings of the priesthood and the blessing of the temple make me so grateful. I am so grateful for the knowledge I have of the gospel and the plan of happiness. I am grateful for the chance whenever I can to put aside the problems of this world and seek for the things that are better.

I ♥ my calling!
