Lanie girl has been in a bad way with a very sore clogged nose lately. It's been going on for over a week now and she has the bad breath that usually accompanies a sore throat, so I just figured it was a little viral thing and it would just go away on its own. After a week or so, she was still complaining so I decided to start putting some Vaseline up her nose, figuring she must just have a sore up in it that wasn't healing. This went on for a couple more days. The other day Lanie sat straight up in bed and yells out "I know what's wrong with my nose...There's a bean up there!"
Yep, there was.
I saved the day and removed the bean. A cute little white bean swollen to twice it's size, beggining to sprout, hence the stinky breath. Grateful for my genius idea of lubing her nose up with the Vaseline. I'm brilliant and had no idea I was being brilliant!
Lanie has no recollection of putting said bean in her nose.
Mrs. Jorgensen did an inventory of her math counters and sure enough, she is one short!
Overheard by Lanie a few days later..."You can call me Bean...I've earned it!"

Oh. My. Goodness. That is HILARIOUS! Haha oh dear, Lanie, what would we do without you?
That is the best story ever. I'm definitely calling her Bean!
My brother, Howard, put a bean in his ear when he was little. He was afraid to say anything. Years later he was swimming and felt something in his ear. If you think Lanie's bean stunk, then you should have seen this one......Lanie's episode is really funny. You have to watch those beans!!!!!
Seriously, one of the funniest stories yet. :)
It started to sprout!?!?! That is the hilarious...Bean it is!
hahahahaha! You have no idea how bad I needed a good laugh today, thanks for sharing!
