Flashback Friday

In honor of the past decade
I thought I would flashback to just a few of the life changing moments...

This is what a bunch of neighborhood hoodlums looked like running around the summer that we moved in. What a fun adventure it was to all move in at the same time and all be in the same boat together. Trying to find and make new friends. Trying to stay out of the way of dads digging trenches or driving bobcats and getting shewed out of the house by moms because of such dirty, dirty socks and mud pie faces.
What happened to our little kids? It was just four years ago, and at the same time it seems like ages.

Moving into our new home. All the hard work put into it. All the hours and hours that were spent digging rocks out of the yard, or the pounds of mud that we splattered on the walls in the basement. We love our home. We love our neighbors. We love the personal growth that we have had as individuals and as a family because we decided to move here.

Adding a little Lanie Bug to our family! Thinking that she was the caboose...

And then adding a little Gentry too! So very grateful for our #5!

Saying goodbye to my childhood home. Many, many tears were shed over that house, but it wasn't really because of that house at all. That house was just a small symbol of the fact that things change. Families change and grow. Kids have kids and get families of their own. Nothing stays. Saying goodbye to that house was saying goodbye to a little piece of my heaven. The carefree days of childhood.

So grateful that I have been kissing this cute guy going on twenty one years now. It just gets better and better as the years roll on. The kissing does too, but I am talking about us... He loves me unconditionally, I love him the same in return, with all my heart.

Trying not to miss a minute of these little peoples lives.
They are our everything for decades to come!!

It's amazing how much things can change in such a short period of time - and how the important things never do.

Oh so fun! Your house is absolutely beautiful by the way. I can't wait to tell Mike about the kissing... stuff to look forward to. You have a great family, we especially like your Sophie. Thanks for sharing her with us. Miss you!
