Gavin has had one BUSY summer, and he has all the shirts to prove it!
First off Gavin had the chance to go to Space Camp with his good friend Cody. They spent two fun filled days shooting Romulans, Klingons, and Space Pirates, piloting star ships, and building rockets. Not to mention having the time of his life getting scared to death by The Borg, sleeping in the ships infirmary, swimming at the rec center and going to the movies. Tons on sci-fi fun!
His next shirt o' fun is Science camp.
Gavin's grandma Schmalz hooked him up with an entire week of fun going to the SLCC camp geared toward science. Totally Gavin's thing. He loves learning the ins and outs of all things and this was no exception. Plus he got to stay over at grandma and grandpa's for the week and they hooked him up with all sorts of adventures,
like going up the canyon with his cousin Ethan and Grandpa to Donut Falls.
He also got to go swimming at Rebecca's house.
They went out to eat almost everyday.
And Peter took him to the Nicklecade and his very first bus ride on public transportation!
One adventure after another.
This is his bridge that he designed on the verge of getting smooshed. That little bridge that he made out of toothpicks held a whopping 15 pounds.

He also learned all about decoding and he thought it was fascinating.
The last shirt on our shirt tour is the Harvest Hills Boy Scout class B uniform. Gavin got to wear it at a week long scout camp at Camp Maple Dell.

Highlights of his week at camp...
Canoeing, swimming in freezing cold lake water, battle of Maple Dell, funny skits and camp songs, earning two full merit badges and a good start on many more, appreciating that your mom IS a culinary master, "forgetting" to brush your teeth for an entire week (you should have seen the fuzz!), and getting to come home and sleep in your own bed again and hug your family!
We have missed you big guy and are glad to have you home for a spell.
I wonder how long it's going to take before I hear you tell me that you are bored!!!

Love that you are immersing your kids in all things good.
way to go, mom!
You are continuously making me look like a very boring mom. Oh wait, I do that all on my own. Way to go Gavin!
Oh Gavin, I can hardly believe that you are old enough to do ALL of those fun things. Somedays I still see a tiny little black haired Monkey boy who loved to snuggle, where has the time gone! You are so smart and adventurous. I love that about you! Happy Summer to you handsome young man. I love you TONS!!
Kimmie
What a smart guy you have there. Your Sophie is so cute. We were at a ward softball game the other night and she was so cute with Coop. We'll have to give her a call to babysit! You have an awesome family!
I love that Cody was able to particapate with Gavin at two of "The many shirts of summer fun." Your family is sweet and dear to my heart. Love ya!
