All Sort's of Baby News to Report

First off, our baby birds have flown the coop. They have made this summer so much fun for us. It has been a blast to have a literal birds eye view, watching them from the time they were just a little twinkle in their mommy and daddy's eyes. Now look at 'em. We will miss them dearly and hope they come back for a visit every now and again. Secondly, Grayson has been the great bug enthusiast as usual this summer. I always have some kind of caterpillar sitting on my kitchen counter waiting for the big change, with Gray observing and documenting every single stage of it's development. Well, we are happy to report that Gray has successfully produced a real life monarch butterfly from a caterpillar for the second year running. So proud, so proud!

And the best news of all...We have a new Schmalz baby cousin, Yeah!
On July 10th, teeny tiny Drake Alexander was born. He is so very precious and we are so happy for Andrew and Andrea. Here's to the start of the best thing you will ever do in this life time. Have fun, and don't blink, because it goes by soooo very fast and you sure don't want to miss a thing. Love you baby Drake!

We need lessons from Grayson! We ordered painted lady caterpillars and they were successful, but we caught some Monarch caterpillars and we(actually I) keep killing them off!!! Way to go Grayson!!!! Any suggestions???

P.S. Congrats on baby!!!
