First off, our baby birds have flown the coop. They have made this summer so much fun for us. It has been a blast to have a literal birds eye view, watching them from the time they were just a little twinkle in their mommy and daddy's eyes. Now look at 'em. We will miss them dearly and hope they come back for a visit every now and again. Secondly, Grayson has been the great bug enthusiast as usual this summer. I always have some kind of caterpillar sitting on my kitchen counter waiting for the big change, with Gray observing and documenting every single stage of it's development. Well, we are happy to report that Gray has successfully produced a real life monarch butterfly from a caterpillar for the second year running. So proud, so proud!

It was good to see you guys at the hospital the other day!! I can't believe how tiny Drake is! Next time I see him he will probably be SO big! When did you get the pic? I need to get some pics of him!

So cool for your kids to see so many babies--all varieties of them.
It will be sad to see the birds go, but I bet those birds come back every year and have babies, lets hope so!!

the birds, the kids excitement, Gray's bug enthusiasm and that new babe.

We need lessons from Grayson! We ordered painted lady caterpillars and they were successful, but we caught some Monarch caterpillars and we(actually I) keep killing them off!!! Way to go Grayson!!!! Any suggestions???
