and these are Lanie's two best friends, Pearl the bird, and Gentry the brother. Neither one I don't think she could live without. How long do birds live? I hope a really, really long time. She hauls that bird all over the house all day long. Pay special attention to the bird poop that is on her left shoulder, she always gets pooped on. No bother, "sometimes your friends poop on you" she says. Good thing she is learning that lesson early in life.
And what about Gentry? I swear that these two made a promise in heaven to stick together. I know he grabbed onto Lanie's coat tails and held on tight and wasn't going to let her go anywhere without him. I love how they look out for each other and love each other. It is so great how Gentry always says to "bless Lanie" when it is his turn to say the prayer, even at dinner time. I love how she calls him "buddy", "little bud", or "my bud". I am not sure where she got that little name for him because we don't call him that. It's just her special name for him. They are so sweet to each other and I love that they are the best of friends.

And the bird poop....well, at least you know Lanie is tolerant and loyal!
That is so sweet that the two of them are such good buddies (Lanie and Gentry). I hope Ben and Klarah are like that...so far so good most of the time. Your kids are all so beautiful. It's fun to see how you're doing, even if I don't really get to see you. Maybe I'll run into you at Cold Stone again sometime.
