Yes I am!
I am really impressed with Gavin's artistic ability. My brother Brian is an amazing artist and I think he may have some of those same talents. All I know is that he didn't get it from me! He always has a great sketch in the works, and we can't seem to keep him in paper and sharpened pencils around here.
This was an assignment Gavin had for his art class at school. He was suppose to take a picture of himself pulling a funny face and then do a self portrait.
This was his funny face.
And this is the finished piece.Pretty darn good in my book.

I love that up and coming artist we call Gavin!! I think he has an amazing talent in art. Well I actually know he has many, incredible talents and I am so thankful he is my friend and my nephew!! Keep up the good work!

by the way, at our house we still use a Gray-ism. It's: " they're peeekin panish!" we say it quite often and remember that cute little guy and his comment on foreign travelers. and then the horror of having a primary teacher that peeks panish. brave little guy. can he pray in spanish yet?
