Delanie learned a very valuable lesson today...Sometimes doing a good deed doesn't always end the way it was intended. It involved trying to help a little girl down our street catch her dog that had ran off and then proceeded to get in a little kerfuffle with our other neighbors dog. It happened so fast that she didn't quite know what or how it happened and I didn't see it happen but in the process of trying to shoo one dog home she got bit...a big bite on her little thigh. :( The pics don't do it justice, but she is pretty bruised and one of the dogs canine teeth really went deep into her leg. Not quite sure how to handle it because I don't want it to come out like I am blaming anyone. I really do think she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and now she knows she needs to not even get close to dogs that are riled up, but darn it all. I hope this doesn't freak her out too bad about animals. After all, about a months or two ago she told me..."I do have a special way with animals ya know!" and she really wishes to be a vet when she grows up. I am interested to see how her special way with animals is effected.
