My brother Robert called me last night to come on over and pick some cherries this morning because his tree was loaded. Yay, free fruit! All the kids got busy pitting them because it really does take what seems like hours, and then we made some beautiful cherry pie filling. Who else wants to give me free fruit because I have more bottling to do. Apple? Peach? I see some yummy dutch oven cobblers in our future.
