Dear U2, (big sighhhh) I Love You!

This weekend Xandi and I, along with Rebecca, Jon, Jon's Stacy, Ben, and Marianne got to go down to Las Vegas to see the best band ever...U2!
Our fun weekend started bright and early Friday morning with our road trip down to Vegas. On Friday night was the concert, so we hopped into the "party bus", driven by Ben and headed out in search of a quick place to eat. Tommy's. They are suppose to be world famous for their chili burgers and dogs, but I think the consensus is, not soooo much.
Next on the stop was UNLV Sam Boyd stadium for U2's 360 tour. It was amazing, but U2 has never let me down. They are fantastic live. I have loved them since the 7th grade and will continue to do so I am sure. Thankfully one of my favorite songs was part of the act, the last song before the encore: Where the Streets Have No Name. 'One' of my favorite songs, what am I talking about? They played so many of my favorites!
The Black Eyed Peas opened up and did such a good job getting the crowd pumped up. I had a hard time trying to hold myself back with all the reserved Schmalz's around me.
The rest of the weekend consisted of a lot of walking and way too much eating. Thanks to The Hash House a Go Go and their hugantic portions, but whats a girl who loves to eat do?
All in all, we had an awesome weekend hanging out with Xandi's siblings. It was great to get to know our soon to be sister-in-law a tiny bit better. I have a feeling I will end up totally adoring her, after all we share the same name.
Thanks to the BEST Aunt ever for giving up her weekend to hang out with our crazy kids. I am sure she is giving a big sigh of relief about now, beings the kids decided to wait until I got home to come down with the throw up stomach bug that has had them worshiping the porcelain thrown!
Lucky girl!

If you ever need a crazy concert buddy, call me! Looks like they put on a really good show.
Sorry the kids waited for MOM to get sick. At least your babysitter will come back next time.

I heard that you were an ANIMAL! You go girl! I'm not sure I would put your trip to the 'hash house' out there... I mean some things are better left unsaid ;)
love you!

How fun is that?!!! I've never seen U2 in concert but I can only imagine how great they are. I have a friend that follows them all over the world, going to 2 or 3 concerts a year.

It was an awesome concert. And by the way just ask Ben how reserved I was! I think I burned enough calories to eat 2 meals at the Hash House! LOL!! I love doing stuff with you guys. We really need to get together more often, since we live in the same hood and all. I know I don't always say it but you are great and I love you to death!!

Sounds like a BLAST!! I agree with Marianne, we need to get together more often-even though we aren't in your same "hood" we are really not that far. Thanks for having us over the other night, it's just what I needed, an easy goin' Halloween night with the fam. You're the BEST!
