Swiss National Day

After a busy, busy day on Saturday consisting on two cousins baptisms and Grayson's first soccer game of the season on a very hot Saturday afternoon, it was fun to just be able to go to the park and celebrate Xandi's Swiss heritage with his family. Nothing says Switzerland like pepperoni pizza and bunch of old folks singing old Swiss folk songs! August 1st is Swiss National day and the kids just love it and have looked forward to it for an entire year.

Gavin got to rock the alp horn for the crowd!

The highlight of the night was the parade of children holding their lampion's.
Thanks to aunt Kimmie who loves to spoil her kids, the girls looked absolutely "Swissy" as Lanie likes to put it, in the new little dresses that she made for them. They looked simply beautiful and ever so Swissy!

How fun. Do you guys get into swiss days in Midway? My niece is a little swiss miss so we'll be up there this year. Glad you can celebrate such rich heritage. I'm back to the blogging world and am so glad to get caught up with everyone. Love your little family.
