One for the Record Books

It has been an eventful week here at the Schmalz house. Other than the regular hum drum of summer activities, we have managed to land ourselves into the urgent care for stitches twice in the past week. Well technically, Gentry got the stitches, another cute little girl I know, won't mention any names, had a complete tizzy at the sight of blood. She needed a few stitches, but she only managed to walk away with some glue and a butterfly bandage to quickly close up her gaping finger wound. Note to self. Don't talk to Sophie while she is using a knife. She tends to get distracted easily from the task at hand, and forgets she just might have a finger in the way.
Poor Gentry had an unfortunate accident while getting out of the tub a couple nights ago. Slippery floors and a child in a rush to get to the potty don't go well together. It happened so fast. One second he is fine, the next he is covered in blood. Scary. I guess chins bleed a lot, who knew? He was a champion though and I have never seen a kid be so brave. Even the nurse commented on how brave he was and that she has NEVER seen a three year old be that good while getting stitches. we'll just keep that part from Soph, the nearly twelve year old. We would hate to make her feel bad. giggle, giggle

That's it kids. You've had your fun. No more trips to get stitches. If you are in need my attention, you've got it.
I love you both and are grateful you still have all your parts. They are so cute and I would miss them dearly if you lost them :)
Love, mom

Oh no...sounds crazy. Isaac had to have stitches on his forehead after jumping on Emmalee's bed. Since then we've got it drilled in "No more monkey's jumping on the bed"...takes after me. I was a little accident prone. (Stitches 3 times on my forehead--call me scar face.)
P.S. Seriously LOVE you. FB would be dull without you...Camilla hearts you too!!
