This Memorial Day weekend was a lot of fun. We decided to head up to the Flaming Gorge to our family property to play and have fun together as a family. We succeeded, in spite of the rain. Robert and his family came up too, so we got to spend some quality time together with them and that is always nice. The kids always have more fun when they have some cousins to play with.
We did the usual stuff that we always do when we head up. We chased some bunnies, got to go on some walks, we went to the Mercantile to get some yummy ice cream, but best of all, we did a lot of exploring and we got really muddy. Five laundry loads worth, but worth it all the same!
The first trip up for the season we always drive into the beautiful Rock Springs Wyoming to take in a movie. We went and saw Night at the Museum, and the kids loved it. After that we drove to the dam and played by the water. Not much later the storm clouds rolled in and we did nothing but listen to the rain...all night long. We loved every minute of it though and we love having that old place to go to. It's full of fun memories for the kids, and me, and it is always a great time.
