So, with all the computer troubles around these parts, blogging has become increasingly difficult for me. I can't load up any new pictures on my computer, so with that problem, I can't post how crazy and silly my kids have been lately. I can't view any pictures on your blogs, not sure why on that one, so I miss spying on all your funny, crazy, inspiring lives. I really do miss this part of my life and am anxiously awaiting tax returns to arrive. Can you guess what I'm going to do with the moola?
I have been in a reflective mood. I get this way this time of year saying goodbye to last year and trying to welcome a new one, and I though I would share just a few of the things that the past year has taught me, not only about myself but about other people and also the world around me. I am so grateful that in my old age, I still have things to learn. I guess it means that I will still be here for a while longer.
* A very important thing that I've learned and would like to pass on is that the caramel Fiber One bars are good, even yummy, but two in the space of one afternoon is pushing it a little too far.
* It's good to be silly with your kids and let them know that you can have fun every once in a while.
* Sometimes you make mistakes that can never be fixed. No matter how hard you try, things will never be the way they were. Even if you try your darnedest to justify and twist things to make it seem like it was for the best, when it boils right down to it, it really sucks, and it hurts.
* The best way to have a friend, is to be a friend.
* Heavenly Father put us in families so we could be loved even when we don't deserve to be loved. Thank goodness for my family.
* Real joy in life is found in the everyday. You don't have to go looking very far to realize how happy you are.
* Someday I will miss doing loads and loads of laundry.
* Nothing hurts as bad in life as seeing your kids struggle, especially when it's something that they have to figure out on their own.
* Food is a major source of comfort in my life, have you noticed? I wish I could find a replacement for a mouth full of cheesecake!
and last but not least...
* It's all about the attitude!

Great words of wisdom, but I doubt the one about laundry is true.
This is perfect!!!
My youngest is 18 months and I am already missing stuff.
Thanks!
I like this one:

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels like this sometimes. I have made some huge mistakes in my life that I can't take back and it hurts a ton.
You are right on! cept maybe the laundry. Especially this: "Real joy in life is found in the everyday" and the kids part...oh that is tough. The toughest.
I've missed you! Please come back regularly soon..
You always help put things into perspective for me. I love you to pieces!!
You are full of true wisdom! I agree with Rachel...that one is my FAVORTIE! You're the best!
YOU my friend...are right on and as always stinkin cute. I'm going to ask my mom if she misses doing our laundry?? :)
I'm going to direct some positive energy towards your computer...
You are such a genuine human being.
So insightful and true. Thanks Stacy.
I had to laugh about the Fiber One bars. I love those things. I wore out the caramel kind though and have since moved on to the chocolate ones and the strawberry/almond ones. You are a daring lady to attempt 2 in a 24 hour period. Hope you didn't have anywhere to go that day.
I Love you!
You are so great! Thanks for the insight...although I cannot accept the laundry thing. I really do love Fiber One bars, I could eat them all day. But I must admit that two in an afternoon brings another issue...(let's just say you don't want to be downwind) am I the only one?
Anyways, I love ya. Post when you can, you are so missed.
Stacy! I miss your blogs....where are you?
Stacy,
YOU ARE THE QUEEN OF BLOGGING!!! Oh my word, my little blog needs some serious CPR after reading yours. Hope you are up and running again really soon!!
